K&G Tours and Travel explain, on camera, how moving from spreadsheets to Quest cut quoting from hours to minutes.

TopNotch TV interviewed a team member from K&G Tours and Travel about how Quest Travel System is transforming tour operations in Uganda. The story is titled how Quest Travel System is transforming tour operations in Uganda. Here are the main points, in the operator's own words where we can.
From manual to automatic
K&G used to work manually, with notebooks and spreadsheets. The operator describes Quest as a travel plan app that has helped with cost, with quotations and with travel plans, and says it auto-calculates everything. A tour in Uganda involves transportation, accommodation and trips, and Quest brings them into one platform.
Whereby you know this industry, it involves a lot. It involves transportation, it involves accommodation, it involves trips.
Two hours down to fifteen minutes
Drafting a travel plan in a spreadsheet could take two hours or more. With Quest, the operator says a package or quote can be drafted in about 15 minutes, and sent by email within around 20 minutes, with the tourist able to send feedback straight away.
What the system captures
- National parks are in the system, so a tour in Uganda's parks is captured.
- A CRM dashboard holds tourist information.
- When you draft a package it adds the locations and transport costs, and calculates them.
- The operator's markup, whether 10 or 15 percent, is applied and shown, so the tourist gets proper cost margins.
- It calculates the package cost, transport, park entry fees, tour guide fees and accommodation in one platform.
Fewer errors, more professional
In the traditional format, the operator explains, errors creep in and you have to go back to the tourist to say you miscalculated, which looks unprofessional. With Quest the calculation is automatic, which saves time and reduces those corrections.
Every company should have an app whereby they are more professional, they are more reliable, their tour plans look better.
