Multi-Currency

Cost in shillings, quote in the currency your tourist understands.

Work with a company USD to UGX rate, choose the currency of each quote, and keep every figure converted consistently.

What it does

Uganda's safari costs are a mix of dollars and shillings. Park fees and lodge rates are often in dollars, while fuel and local costs are in shillings. Quest converts between them with a company-level USD to UGX rate, which you can set to the live daily rate or to a custom rate of your own.

Each quote has a quote currency, and the cost summaries convert stored amounts into it. The exchange rate used is saved on the quote, so the numbers you sent do not drift later.

Operators quoting both diaspora tourists in USD and resident weekend groups in UGX, common for Uganda parks, set the company rate once and pick the presentation currency per quote. You stop maintaining two spreadsheets that disagree after the bank moves.
